Make A Difference In Your Community

Hope you all have been enjoying the heart health articles so far this month!

Today I want to focus on how you can make a difference. I’m thrilled to report that due to such generous donations to Go Red For Women over the past 10 years, more than 627,000 women have been saved from heart disease, and 285 fewer women are dying each day.

As part of my role on the New York City Go Red For Women Executive Leadership team, I am running my own campaign, “Open Your Heart” – a campaign to raise awareness about heart disease and provide women with the resources they need to improve their heart health.

All proceeds from my campaign will be going toward the American Heart Association and supporting its mission to educate women across the globe about heart disease. Knowledge is power, and by helping to raise awareness, we can save lives!

I hope you join me in supporting this cause, by making a donation to help me reach my personal $40,000 goal.

There are many ways to get involved:

  • Join the Circle of Red

Help raise money for lifesaving research and education. Women in the Circle of Red advocate for heart disease prevention and help spread the word to people in your network. Contact your local American Heart Association office for more information.

  • Create a memorial page

To honor someone who suffered from heart disease, you can create a page in his or her memory.

  • Participate in Go Red for Women events.

Please save the date and join us for Macy’s exciting event on February 9: The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection 2017! To kick off New York Fashion Week, celebrities and top designers are showing their support for women’s heart health.

Hope to see you there!
