Try this self-assessment to tap into what makes you feel fully alive.

We often get bogged down in the everyday hustle and bustle that can lead to an unfulfilled lifestyle, coupled with hopes and dreams deferred. Now is the time to unlock your creative genius. From keeping a journal of your most coveted thoughts to reflecting back on fond childhood memories, there are several ways to unleash your passion and free your creative spirit to live a more purpose-driven life.
Completing an in-depth self-analysis can help determine interests, igniting your everyday creativity and fuel your desires.

If you’re anything like me, I’m sure there are several subjects that spark your interest. Awakening your zest is based on discovering that special something that lights you up inside and differentiating mind from heart. So which will you listen to? Are you open to learning about yourself more intensely and deeply than before?

The answers we are seeking are often right in front of us. Let’s start by taking an inventory of our talents. For instance, when was the last time you lost track of time doing something? Have you ever been disappointed because you had to stop performing a task at hand to fulfill other needs? Is there a common theme within your book or magazine collection? These are just a few simple questions to ask in order to begin the journey of self-rediscovery. Keep in mind others opinions are invalid. It’s about you—what makes you tick and how you handle certain situations.

It’s quite normal, if in the process, or before you begin, you’re faced with a severe mental block. You are not alone! We all experience overwhelming feelings and emotional barriers. Before we have breakthroughs, we have breakdowns.

Here’s a brief self-examination to help you unveil limitless possibilities to live and love the life you truly deserve.

  • If you were to make one major change at this very moment what would it be?
  • What subjects are you well versed?
  • What do you enjoy talking about?
  • Do you gravitate towards specific activities?
  • How would you describe yourself in only three words?
  • If you received enough money to never work again, what would you spend your time doing?

The next set of questions is geared to help you further build an emotional connection and spiritual synergy from within.

  • What is standing between you and your happiness?
  • What is your biggest regret in life?
  • If today were your last day on earth, what would you want to do?

Allowing intimate time for self-reflection to determine our strengths, goals and weaknesses is a precious gift we owe to ourselves. Hopefully, these simple questions will align your thoughts, uncover your passion, trigger your creative vision and motivate you to make the necessary changes needed in your daily life to reignite your purpose.
