In Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic practices, there are prana centers and energy lines along the spine and throughout the body and limbs, which are affected by everyday stress, unresolved dynamics, and accumulated tension. In this workshop you will find physical and emotional release in the practice of Yin Yoga (long-held floor-based poses), reflection, and restorative exercises.

 


Workshop: Taoist Inner Alchemy with Mantak Chia

This evening Mantak Chia, one of the most renowned teachers of Taoist disciplines in the world, will share an inner alchemy path. He will explain a step-by-step process of inner change that begins by transmuting negative emotional energies to gradually alter body chemistry and hormone balance, proceeding to higher and higher levels of refined internal energy and heightened awareness.

 


Parade: Mermaid Parade

The Mermaid Parade is the largest art parade in the nation. A celebration of ancient mythology and honky-tonk rituals of the seaside, it showcases over 3,000 creative individuals from all over the five boroughs and beyond, opening the summer with incredible art, entrepreneurial spirit and community pride.
